Be Near Me Butterfly is a children’s story written by Mindy Owens (who happens to be my mom) and illustrated by me. We are currently seeking publisher partners to help bring our book to life.

Be Near Me Butterfly is a story of a grieving daughter who is sent an unexpected gift the night her mother passes.  As you embark on a brave journey with a delicate butterfly, an awareness to observe, remember, and celebrate our loved ones - even beyond death, becomes tangible.

This children’s short-story with illustrations encourages healing conversation for grieving hearts. It inspires creative ways to reflect on those who have impacted us in a profound way and find peace.
